HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

 Happy 4th of July! 

Independence Day is always special because it is OUR Dad's birthday. He would have turned 99 today.

Dad passed away 7 years ago.

WE  celebrated his birthday because WE love him.

WE traveled to West Olive, Michigan from Mission, Texas back in March 1979. 

It wa a long drive. Dad had an 8-track of Country's Greatest Hits.  WE had a Village People 8-Track.

Those two tapes played the whole trip.

WE trimmed blueberry plants in the snow.  WE worked in the blueberry harvest up there.  WE labored in the warehouse too.

"Behind Closed Doors" by  CHARLIE RICH

was one of the songs on that 8-Track.
